Milog - mileage log tracker App Reviews

Was a great app until doomed by 3.0. In an app used multiple times daily, they should have seen this coming. Sorry but Ive got to go elsewhere.

Great program. But it doesnt work with OS 3.0. Stillllll waiting for update!

After using this app and many other similar apps to track my business mileage for reimbursement, I found Milog to be my absolute favorite, which is why I upgraded from the lite version to the paid version. Sadly, after the 3.0 iPhone update, Milog no longer worked. The company was very responsive to my inquiry, and let me know they had were aware of the incompatibility and had already issued the v 1.5 update to Apple for approval on the day the iPhone software update was issued. Even more sadly, Apple did not approve this update for over 2 weeks! None of my other apps did the job, specifically they did not have Milogs helpful preset categories for tolls and parking expenses, which I very much needed. They also did not export as well, and I didnt want to pay $10 for a paid version of Trip cubby (which is good, but still not quite as good for me as Milog) while waiting for Milog to be updated. So now that I have the update, its working flawlessly again, and I am a happy camper. For me, Milog is perfect--my only request for future versions would be to allow users to select the mileage with a number keyboard as an alternative to the flick/spin wheel, as this would be very much faster to input my odometer readings. Still, that is an extremely minor quibble; with this app I can enter my mileage, set past or future dates for trips, enter tolls and parking expenses (would be nice to have an integrated calculator to calculate tolls over several receipts while still in the application--this is another of my feature requests). I have other apps that track MPG, etc., and I dont need it all in one app. The export feature works great, too. Good job, Symply Soft, and cmon, Apple, if an app is broke and the developer has fixed it, get it approved more quickly, rather than give preference to apps that are simply adding UI tweaks or push features, etc.).

It does not work with OS3. It used to work great, but the developers never bothered to check it for 3 compatibility. Now anyone who was using it for their business is screwed. Thanks guys, I appreciate your professionalism.

Milog works great again after the 1.5 update for 3.0 compatibility problems.

My third try looking for a simple flexible app to track distance without being forced to cheat around cumbersome odometer routines, and mileage as total distance without being forced to convert to IRS cash value with every entry, plus parking meters, garages and simple expenses. Clean selection of repeating data, and decent reports. This is the one for, so thanks for the elegant work.

Exactly what I was looking for. Great features and control of features. Like the report format. Highly recommend.

It flows. I click the plus to add a trip, select the start location, hit done and Im off! When I arrive at destination I open the app and it opens right where I left off, select destination, click in the miles and hit done! Its fast, easy and the emailed reports are perfect! I make trips around town all day long and its a real smooth app to use.

I have carefully reviewed every other mileage tracking software available on the apple store. Milog has the most logical design and the best set of features of them all. Make sure you check out the settings tab. All the features that set milog apart from the competition are in there but you have to turn them on.

Tried two other, more expensive, mileage log apps before buying this one. PROS: Can turn on and off many fields / multiple stops allowed on trip / enter mileage using keyboard instead of spinner wheels - much more efficient / option to use odometer readings or just mileage. WISH LIST: ability to add user defined "usage" fields (I run two different businesses - need to differentiate mileage) / an optional "notes" field to add more detail on occasion / streamline number of clicks to add locations - should be able (at least an option) to click once on a location and it be added, not then click "done" to add it / desperate need for either a "frequent trips" option or ability to select an earlier trip and choose duplicate on current date - I have the same 2 or 3 trips I make multiple times per week but have to create them fresh for every single day. If SymplySoft added the above features - even in a more expensive "Pro" version - I would buy it in a heartbeat! Meanwhile, thanks guys for a very good and useful app. It is still better than any of the others I have tried and bought before it.

This is a great application. It can be adjusted to your needs. The entries are divided by month and toll expenses are easy to allocate. I giving it th five stars….

As a truck driver I found this app really useful and handy to have to help me keep track of miles, loads, and times. And above all, for a guy like me it was very easy to learn to use. I would be interested in seeing and trying other apps simialar to this one.

Wow!, what a great app. Intelligent features make tracking and recording your mileage a breeze. Gone are my days of keeping track of my miles on paper just to have to enter them into a spreadsheet later. Saves a lot of time so you can worry about more important things.

The plus is that its rather simple to use. The minus is that if you dont log everything, its very difficult to get the app to input accurately--I only log what I use for business purposes, since I only have one car to use for both my work and my personal driving, and I constantly have trouble getting it to start at the right odometer reading as a result. Also, having to switch off the app in teh middle of the trip has always resulted in me losing the log altogether. I think I may have to go back to the good old-fashioned pen and paper!

I love this app! It is exactly what I was looking for - easily keeps track of mileage, sums it easily and publishes a report that is usable for tax purposes. The click wheel for entering numbers works like a charm and the whole thing is very intuitive and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Milog is soooooo easy to use once the simple setup is completed. Entering yesterdays ending odometer reading when waiting for the engine to warm up for a new day has become second nature. Starting a new record for today is as easy as hitting the "+" button, then clicking "Done"; if the same vehicle and the same useage apply for today, then youre done. In my opinion it lacks only one feature: fuel expenditures tracking. Ill be looking for that soon from this responsive app dev team!

This app is exactly what I was looking for. I love all of the features that it has. Im only giving it 4 stars because there is one thing I would like an option for, and thats to have a number pad to enter the miles with instead of the scrolling wheel thing. Thats kind of a pain, but other than that. Well done.

What is going on??? I had the lite version with 5 logs. Bought the paid version and IT WIPED OUT ALL my previous 5logs. You have got to be kidding me. It will be a real pain the the a.s to replace them as they were several months ago. Are your programmers in the 2nd grade?? How could this possibly happen. You are kidding me right?? OK, so it doesnt wipe out the previous logs, it installs the new paid program and leaves the free version installed as a separate app which does not import the logs from the Milog Lite app. How dumb is that? No difference. I still have to re-load all the information from the Lite version into the paid app.

Wow - if you need to record your miles for tax puposes, this app is a real timesaver. Its well designed and once you get it set up it minizes the keyboard inputs making it fast and easy to enter your miles each day.
