Great tool just wish they would update and give me the option to enter mileage via calculator entry vs. through a click wheel
I am an educator who travels between 6 sites only. The only reason this app won out over the others is the ability to turn off the odometer which is not required for my school district. There needs to be a frequent trips option. And for those of us who go back and forth frequently, wouldnt it be nice to have a big R button for return trip so we dont have to add ALL of the trips. As it stands those two minor tweaks would make this app perfect. Thanks.
This program seemed to be perfect for tracking business and medical mileage. However, twice I had to have my iPhone reset at the apple store and this was the only app where the backed up data disappeared. Now I have to reconstruct months of data. I am done with this app. I would recommend anyone who needs to preserve their mileage data, find something else.
I actually paid $3.99 for this over other similar apps since this one does what its supposed to do, simply. However, a few recommendations: 1 - Option to automatically, or remind with prompts, to e-mail a backup file. Settings could be "Everyday", "Weekly", "Monthly", etc. 2 - Have a default e-mail address for manually e-mailing backup. I shouldnt have to type in my same address each time. 3 - Mentioned by others, numeric keypad option for entering mileage, not just the odometer wheel. 4 - More than 5 "Usage" types. Why the limit? Or at least the ability to edit the names on the 5 provided. 5 - My biggie, link the Usage type to the Place. If I select "Client A" as the Place, the app should automatically change the Usage to "Business" or whatever is defined with "Client A", instead of just defaulting to the last Usage type selected. Looking forward to the next update.
I work around the clock and thought this was a fantastic app to keep track of my travel expenses. Vista was giving me problems so Ive upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Of course I needed to reinstall iTune. Not sure if its Apple or/and Milog, but when it sync up where it indicated that I dont have the rights to this app. Eventhough I purchased it, it remove the app. It later correct itself and reinstalled the app. Guess what, all my data is GONE?!?! I dont know if I should cry or what, I have no backup to write off about 10k worth of expenses. Mileage, tolls, parking, etc.... Love this program until this happened. Thats why all these iphone apps should have a desktop app to sync up the data too. App is useless without the data, data is everything. I blame both Apple and Milog. Apple should give a warning before assuming that the app is illegal and removes an app from iphone. Milog should backup the data somewhere... like Quicken and Quickbooks so I can get the data back. I thought like the Palm, iPhone will move the data from the phone to iTune.
This is the perfect app if you dont mind entering the data in manually. Emailing the report at the end of the year is a snap! You just have to remember to enter all the information when you are going to start your trip. I havent foung anything out there thats better. Keep up the good work. I would like to have an option to do multable bussness. or just rename the icons.
On 3 occasions I have lost all dat following an update or other change. Loved using it, but data loss is not acceptable
I am in sales and use this everyday when I go to meet clients. Perfect for my Taxes to show my miles for the year. Thanks for making this app.
I USE THIS EVERYDAY BUT ON MY IPAD LOOKS LIKE CRAP . THIS DEVELOPERS HAVE NOT UPDATED THIS APP FOR A LONG TIME. THIS IS BS.
The key challenge for this app is this: is it really easier to use this app rather than write down the mileage in a little notebook. The idea of Milog is pretty good, although the instructions are weak and there are odd requirements. For instance, you have to use the annoyingly time-consuming spinning wheel method to set beginning and ending mileage, yet you can use the really easy and quick numeric keypad to enter in the days mileage. It is odd that you cant change the prefs for either method, but I have sent the parent company, SimplySoft, 3 emails to different contacts and have yet to receive a single reply.
I use Milog for keeping track of business mileage. Interface is simple, but effective. Some controlls are a little quirky, though. Easy reports and backup.
I use this app to keep up with all of my self-employed business miles. Its so easy to use and was a wonderful tool until today. When you run a report there is an option to delete the entire report. I thought I was simply deleting the report only, but it deleted ALL of my years mileage reports, which are essential for tax records. Milog, please remove this feature! There is no reason to delete any mileage records EVER!
It works well. It could use a few more convenience features such as a copy button to copy existing entries.
Ive been using this app for over a year and there has only been one update in that time. The programmer is not very attentive to the users! I only give this app an OK rating. I didnt lose data during my transition from the 3G to the 4 like others have expressed (fortunately). There is now a Back-up Mileage Database that must have been added in last years update. The program is lackluster and doesnt dazzle. Its clunky about entering starting time and mileage and for some stupid reason, defaults to the end time or mileage instead of the beginning or end depending on whether youre adding a new record or updating and closing an existing one. The lists are inconsistent. The Location list always opens closed and I have to add another location while the End place list opens fully laid out and easy to find. I have made a couple requests for feature additions such as bringing the lists actions into agreement, default locations or a list template where all I would have to do is fill in mileage and times. The author acknowledged the request and thats the last Ive heard of it. The app does what it claims but it could be better. So, Ill probably find something more to my liking and move at the end of the year since I doubt the developer is going to spend any more serious time on this app.
Ive been using this app for about a year and a half now, and am still liking it. Lightweight, has only the features I need, instead of a big bloated app that does 20 other things Ill never use. I find the way it saves all notes and prices to be a little odd, since I dont ever use those more than once-- makes me reluctant to fill them in and be too specific... but all in all it is a great mileage tracker app that I totally recommend.
Its doing what it says but I need it to have more features. I drive a company car and miles from my first stop to my last stop are covered. So I need start, 1st stop, last stop and ending odometer readings for each day. I drive to multiple locations each day so this feature would make life easier.
Nothing fancy or pretty to look at, but does the job. Just wish there was an easier way to enter miles traveled after the fact.
Very customizable. I have never lost data, and the app has not crashed one time! Would like to see a debit entry that is for non-reimbursable expenses so I can keep track of those costs that I cannot recoup, and would like to be able to print records straight from the app. Saw a review that condemned the fact that there have not been frequent updates....IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!!
This app is terribly clunky and will often not save trips or will put the wrong mileage in the mileage field. It is terribly, terribly frustrating.
I have used the lite version of this app, it was okay but i did not know it stops at five logs. So i bought the full version, i really do like how i can keep track on where i drive to and from a destination. Overall i am satisfied with it, it was worth the $3.99 or whatever the price was when i bought it.
